Board Member’s Call for Unified Approach Still Inspires The ALS Association’s Evergreen Chapter by Gary Wosk, Staff Writer  The Evergreen Chapter, located in Kent, Wash., was founded in 1999 by a group of people who had been personally touched by ALS. Evergreen Chapter Executive Director Becky Moore The chapter’s first fundraiser was the premiere of the movie “The Theory of Flight,” the story of a dreamer who aspires to human flight, is assigned public service after one of his attempts off a public building, and meets a young woman who is fighting Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
